About OBSYDIA
OBSYDIA Foundation is an independent, non-profit initiative focused on privacy-first digital infrastructure.
We are building a network where identity, data and communication belong to the people who use it — not to the platforms that host it. The project started as an experiment in resilient, censorship-resistant infrastructure and grew into a broader effort to design tools that can survive pressure and failure.
OBSYDIA is structured around decentralisation and federation. No single server, company or country should be able to switch the network off. The goal is not to compete with existing social platforms, but to offer an alternative for communities that need stronger guarantees of privacy and independence.
How we work
The code base is developed in the open. The long-term vision is to hand over key decisions to a community governance model while the foundation focuses on research, coordination and security review.
